POPIA Compliance Notice • The David Code

This Privacy Policy describes how The David Code (the "Responsible Party") collects, uses, and protects the personal information you provide when registering for our transformation programs, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.

1. Information We Collect

When enrolling, we collect necessary personal details, including your Name, Email, Telephone Number, City, Sling Leader reference, and physical Delivery Address (needed solely to deliver your printed course manual). We do not collect your Date of Birth or sensitive financial credentials.

2. Purpose of Collection

Your details are collected solely to administer the 40-Day Challenge, distribute learning materials, organize cohorts, and facilitate communication.

3. Data Storage & Security Safeguards

Your data is stored within South Africa on secure Afrihost servers. We implement robust server-side safeguards, including encrypting your Full Name, Email Address, Telephone Number, and physical Delivery Address at rest using AES-256-CBC database encryption. Only authorized program coordinators have restricted administrative access to complete manual deliveries.

4. Retention Limits

We do not store your personal details indefinitely. PII is automatically and securely purged 60 days after your cohort start date, except for basic anonymized cohort records to satisfy audit requirements under South African law.

5. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under POPIA, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request updates/corrections, or ask for the immediate erasure of your records. To do so, please contact us at support@thedavidcode.co.za.
